Welcome to Sulam, a mobile application designed for personal finance education and self-tracking (the "App"). Sulam helps you record and visualize your own financial information — such as payments, loans, budgets, and subscriptions — so you can learn about your habits and track changes over time. The App is provided as an educational and self-monitoring tool only.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Sulam Tech LLC, a company registered in the Sultanate of Oman ("Sulam", "we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use of the App.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. The App is available worldwide on the Apple App Store, subject to local availability and applicable law.
The App uses Sign in with Apple as its only authentication method. You are responsible for:
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate any Account in accordance with Section 15 (Suspension and Termination).
Sulam grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and Apple’s Usage Rules in the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

All Content, software, designs, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property associated with the App are owned exclusively by Sulam or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
You agree not to:
Any violation may result in suspension or termination of your access in accordance with Section 15.
The App allows you to manually input personal financial information — such as payments, loans, budgets, and subscriptions — to track and visualize your own financial activity. The App is designed as a learning and self-tracking tool.
Your data is stored locally on your device using secure system storage. The App does not require you to link bank accounts or upload sensitive banking credentials, and the App does not automatically collect analytics or telemetry data. You retain full ownership of your data at all times.
Calculations, charts, and insights produced by the App depend entirely on the accuracy and completeness of the information you input. Sulam does not verify, validate, or guarantee the accuracy of any output.
Your Data Stays With You. Because your financial data is stored only on your device, you retain access to it at all times. Cancelling your subscription, terminating your Account, or stopping use of the App does not delete your data — it remains on your device until you choose to delete it within the App or uninstall the App. You may export, copy, or back up your data at any time using the App’s export function. Because your data is stored locally, Sulam has no ability to access, modify, or delete your financial data — only you can do so.

Premium features are offered through auto-renewing subscriptions purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Current options on the U.S. storefront are:
Prices in other countries may differ based on Apple’s regional pricing and applicable taxes. The price displayed in the App at the time of purchase is the price you will be charged.
A 1-month free trial is offered on each subscription option for eligible new subscribers. If you cancel before the free trial ends, you will not be charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will start automatically and your Apple ID will be charged for the first paid period. Any unused portion of the free trial is forfeited if you upgrade to a paid subscription before it ends.
The free version of the App allows up to 5 active payment items (including templates, daily payments, and loans). Regardless of whether you use the free or Premium version, you may export all of your data as a CSV file at any time, and you retain the ability to view and delete your data at any time. Premium adds:
A 7-day grace period applies after Premium ends, during which unlimited access is preserved before the App returns to the 5-item free limit. The features included in Premium may change from time to time at our reasonable discretion.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period. The renewal price is the same as the original price unless we provide notice of a price change in advance, as required by Apple.
You can manage and cancel subscriptions at any time by going to your Apple ID account settings on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you will continue to have Premium access until that point.
All payments are processed by Apple under Apple’s payment policies. Because each subscription option includes a 1-month free trial that gives you full Premium access before any charge is made, you have the opportunity to evaluate all Premium features before committing. Refund requests must be directed to Apple through your Apple ID account settings, as Apple processes all payments and we do not have the ability to issue refunds directly. Refunds are available where required by applicable consumer protection law in your country.
If you obtained the App through the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply, and they prevail over any conflicting provisions in these Terms:
(a) These Terms are concluded between you and Sulam only, and not with Apple. Sulam, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
(b) The license granted to you in Section 4 is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
(c) Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance or support services with respect to the App.
(d) In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.
(e) Sulam, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including (i) product liability claims, (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
(f) In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, Sulam, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
(g) You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
(h) You acknowledge and agree that Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information and is available at https://getsulam.com/privacy-policy.html. The Privacy Policy forms an integral part of these Terms.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures, including encryption, PIN access, and biometric authentication. However, no system is completely secure, and you acknowledge and accept this inherent risk.
We are not responsible for data loss caused by device malfunction, operating system updates, unauthorized access to your device, or your own negligence.
The App relies on services provided by Apple, including Sign in with Apple and Apple In-App Purchase. The App may integrate additional third-party services in the future. Your use of any third-party service is governed by the terms and privacy policies of that third party. Sulam is not responsible for the availability, performance, content, or practices of any third-party service.
Sulam does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any defects will be corrected. You use the App at your own risk.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law, and nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sulam, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to:
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or any part of it at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraud, posed a security risk, or remained inactive for an extended period.
For non-fraud, non-emergency terminations of your Account, we will provide at least thirty (30) days’ notice through the App or to the email address associated with your Account. Because your financial data is stored locally on your device, it remains accessible to you regardless of any change to your Account status; the notice period gives you a reasonable opportunity to open the App and export your data before any access restrictions take effect.
Upon termination, your license to use the App immediately ends. Sections 4, 7, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23 shall survive termination.
Sulam shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including without limitation acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil disturbance, government action, pandemic, internet or telecommunications failure, power failure, or third-party service outages.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to the next paragraph, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.
Nothing in this Section limits any non-waivable right you may have to bring proceedings in your country of residence under applicable consumer protection law.
We may update or modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email at least thirty (30) days before the changes take effect, where reasonably practical. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or, if it cannot be modified, severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sulam regarding the App and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings, communications, and agreements, whether written or oral.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any of your rights or obligations under them without our prior written consent. Sulam may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, to any affiliate, successor, or acquirer without your consent.
We may provide notices to you through the App or to the email address associated with your Account. You are responsible for keeping your contact information current. Notices to Sulam should be sent to sulam.app@hotmail.com.
These Terms are made available in English and Arabic. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the English and Arabic versions, the English version shall prevail.
The failure of Sulam to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed on behalf of Sulam to be effective.
